A rare ersatz helmet from Bavaria of WWI being a size 57, which is large for a pickelhaube, enlisted mans helmet, constructed in a one-piece fibre. The front peak has added brass trim, the rear peak is a steel trim, which has been finished over in the same finish as the black fibre. Two colour camouflage with thin black separation lines of plum and green. Minor indentations to the crown, original owner’s name label adhered to the inner rear skirt, a member of 5th Squadron 3rd Chev. Rgt.
