GERMAN WWI DEER’S FOOT FIGHTING KNIFE.

A knife much seen in photographs being worn by German troops in the trenches being the deer’s foot knife. Excellent blade with unusual double headed eagle trademark, S shaped steel cross guard, original leather washer complete, in its steel military style scabbard and belt loop. Hilt retaining strap does not appear ever to have been fitted. The steel scabbard having some paint loss.

A magnificent condition Imperial German fighting knife with the most superb blade marked ‘ERN WALD’ with the abbreviated Rhineland. On the reverse side ‘RASIERMESSE FABRIK’. A good example of a field used all steel Prussian belt buckle with a good amount of field grey green paint remaining, very thin on the upper and lower flat sections, with its original leather tab, which is profusely marked ‘Eugen Heinrich Koln’ with on the reverse side Guard Depot marked ‘BAG’ with another maker’s mark identical to the ‘Eugen Heinrich Koln’.  read more

A rare set of service used shoulder boards for Wurttemberg General. Intertwined gold, silver with black and red fleck for Wurttemberg lace on green base with slip-on tabs. One lower strand of the red and black fleck slightly loose from the weave.  read more

A mismatched pair but used together fur and canvas back pack straps, slightly different grain of leather to each strap. The fittings are identical with identical colouration and wear. Good strong leather. Very usable.  read more
