Excellent condition steel and gilded cuirass worn by a Cuirassier officer in Regiments Nos.3, 4, 5,7 & 8. Complete with its correct scales, original leather waist strap, original leather behind the chin scales. The hook to the upper right hand chin scale for securing the bandolier in place is missing. A very good condition and rare matched set of a trooper's breast and back plate for the Guard Du Corps, this is a profusely stamped piece. The front and back both match in size and have not been put together. All of the correct brass rivets are fitted to both parts. The overlaid white metal Guard Du Corps front plate is intact.
