A very nice condition ersatz bayonet, good blade with the hilt and the scabbard retaining much of its original field grey green paint. Minor indentations to both the front and back of the lower section of the scabbard. Rifle fitting system in place and working correctly.

A previously unrecorded variant, smooth wood grip, cross guard bent slightly, blade generally good but has been tipped and re-shaped, 13.5 cm blade, in its original metal scabbard,all paint finish is missing, black leather belt strap, missing its hilt retaining strap.

Good blade which has been sharpened, maker’s mark of a large letter R to the riccasso of blade, 34 cm overall length, blade 21 cm, plain wood grip, straight steel cross guard, which is stamped with the Austrian acceptance stamp, in its original green painted scabbard with some rust losses.

A good ET66 shell, camouflaged in the three colour camouflage of green, brown and a dark ochre with at least two sections of the camouflage pattern using its original apple green, separated by black lines, a small area of the ochre lifting close to the front. GERMAN WWI IRON CROSS SECOND CLASS UNUSUAL VARIANT.

The unusual variant with a small loop as part of the top of the frame of the cross into which sits the larger ring to hold the ribbon, see Nimmergut Vol2 page 1047,KO stamped to ring, which is the Berlin Royal Mint, with fitted old but short section ribbon.  read more

Optics need cleaning, slight loss of finish to frame, faintly marked Carl Zeiss Jena, with original neck strap, fitted into its scarce hard leather carrying case which has the instructions for the use of the binoculars pasted and riveted into the upper inner lid, some fading to lettering, the leather case excellent with all of its original fittings complete supple and usable.  read more
