A very large size all fibre helmet for an officer in Saxon Infantry Regiment 100, this is the only Saxon Regiment to have all silver fittings and its full title is the 1st Leib Grenadier Regiment. One single domed wide chin scales with clip-over fitting for a Kuirassier or Guard Du Korps helmet with one, possibly two, links missing. The opposite side has the identical clip-over chin scales, there are 11 links in the correct order with 5 missing.
