GERMAN WWI WURTTEMBERG FELDMUTZE.
Many years ago we managed to obtain a quantity, possibly about 15 of mint issued feldmutzes, a mixture of Prussian and Wurttemberg, the majority were Wurttemberg, some of them were marked to Regiment 122, some just had Army Corps markings. This is the very last, this is again a mint unissued field grey feldmutze with the fold in the middle where it has been folded for so many years, this could possibly be steamed out if necessary. Two small moth nips to the lower red band, at the side of the cap. The nap is mint, complete with mint paint to the national and Wurttemberg cockades. Standard brushed cotton white lining with the oval maker’s stamp of ‘Emil Kohl, Cannstatt’. Stamped size ‘55’ with a faint ‘B.A.XIII 1918’ stamp.
