A very nice condition high quality Melton material constructed Army General’s M.43 cap. Gold bullion waffenfarbe around the crown. The cap eagle is the post 1943 Bevo gold on green variety, the cockade below is of bullion wire with the outer ring being in gold instead of silver. Two gold buttons. GERMAN WWII ARMY MOTORISED RECONNAISSANCE OFFICERS SEMI CRUSHER CAP.
Non size stamped but on test it is possibly 57, constructed in soft Melton material. There is no moth damage anywhere to the crown of the cap, the copper brown piping standing proud against the field grey of the top of the cap and against the darker green to the upper and lower sections of the centre band, this piping was only worn up until early 1943. An extremely rare cap being of large size, non stamped but estimated at 58 or 59. Standard high saddle shape constructed in the ribbed officers material. All of the piping in the Bordeaux Red colour. The classic Japanese enlisted ranks field cap, heavily service used, no moth damage, missing its strap. A portion of the Japanese yellow star to the front is broken away.
