A very nice condition Gau level, which is the second highest level within the NSDAP Organisation. The cap is not size stamped but on test would appear to be 58 or 59. Non size stamped but on test between 58 and 60. The upper body is constructed in the ribbed canvas-like material, some age foxing to the crown area. GERMAN WWII GROUND DUG PARATROOPER HELMET SHELL AND PARTIAL LINER.

It would be fascinating to know where this paratrooper helmet shell was recovered from, unfortunately we do not know this. The shell is a large size, it has various round and shrapnel holes, mainly on the right side of the helmet. A beautiful condition greatcoat in the standard NSDAP brown, the nickname given to these political leaders were The Golden Pheasants. Nice blade by Robert Klass of Solingen with much original cross grain finish remaining. There are some light spots to the edge of the blade, the blade is full length, it has not been reprofiled.
