A very nice ET64 shell, batch number has just two digits of ‘24’. The M.40 helmets normally appear on the collectors market in a dull matt finish, it is very difficult to find the shiny finish, this example has virtually all of its shiny finish remaining, a few small areas of rubbing through to the base metal. JAPANESE WWII SAIPAN 1944 CAPTURED ARISAKA BAYONET.

A very nice condition standard Arisaka bayonet. Standard hooked quillon cross guard, upper retaining button fitted, wood grips undamaged, complete with its original undated scabbard with good colour remaining to the scabbard itself and its leather frog, which has not rotted. Lovely shell, stamped ‘Q64’ batch number ‘2922’ with original owner’s name of ‘Uffz.Hill’ hand applied in white paint to the inner rear skirt.
