The felt helmets are very susceptible to damage and this has got an excellent skull, there is one slight tear at the join of the rear peak to the main body otherwise excellent overall. S.M.S Stuttgart silver wire for reservist sailors, full length, very good condition. The S.M.S. Stuttgart was built in Danzig in 1905, at the outbreak of war she took part in the bombardment of Scarborough and Whitby in England and subsequently in the battle of Jutland in 1916 where she engaged the HMS Dublin, she was broken up at the end of that war. read more

A very heavily worn matched pair of Bavarian wartime subdued grey lace intertwined with Bavarian Blue, laid onto a light grey backing material which was the backing colour for the aviation troops. At some stage in their life they were fitted with rank pip for a Oberleutant, stitch marks remain where they have been removed from a tunic. read more

In World War I the German Army drivers caps were produced in black oilskin and field grey Oilskin, they are both rare, with the field grey version the hardest of two to obtain, invariably they are missing their chinstraps. This very rare example of the field grey double buckle strap in excellent condition, strap can also fit the 1915 Universal Field Cap, 29.5 cm hole to hole. read more
