Faintly marked ‘DPx8’ plus ‘Carl Zeiss Jena’. Excellent optics with original black carrying strap. All the leather covering to the frame present, slightly discoloured. All fitted into its original fitted high quality leather case, stitching excellent, with a compass set into the lid, the carrying case is with its original carrying strap and belt loop, the compass appears to be malfunctioned.  read more

GERMAN WWI OFFICERS EARLY WAR PRIVATE PURCHASE BINOCULARS.

Marked ‘C.P.Goerz Berlin’ to the left hand side of the frame, to the right hand side ‘Trieder Binocle’. Excellent optics with original black leather carrying strap, this rare pattern was one of the very first types of binoculars for military use being introduced by armies across Europe. Very good quality brown hard leather case, topped with carrying straps, which is slightly worn.  read more

GERMAN FRANCO PRUSSIAN WAR IRON CROSS 2ND CLASS 1870 WITH 25 YEAR OAK LEAF.

Standard pattern with two flat clips attaching the oak leaf to the totally original faded ribbon, very slight wear to the paint to the centre of the award. GERMAN WWI IRON CROSS 1ST CLASS 1914 IN ITS PRESENTATION CASE.

A very good quality example, flat back, silver colour, super quality in almost mint condition retaining all black finish to the central core. The domed top of the case is covered in black artificial leather with a bright gold Iron Cross emblem to the centre. White silk lining to the inside of the lid with a dark purple velvet to the base. To the hinge area of the lid the leather covering is split.  read more

‘Schlesisches Infantry Regiment 157’ indelibly applied to the inner rear peak, difficult to read but careful viewing can discern this regimental number. GERMAN WWI UNUSUAL BLOCK CAMOUFLAGE M16 SHELL.

‘SI66’ marked shell, the interior having all of its apple green finish remaining with faint traces of two names hand applied into the rear skirt. Block camouflage of a faded maroon, quite a bright ochre and the base colour of the original apple green. Printed both sides, good clear colour, measuring 395cm x 200cm showing the Iron Cross to the top left hand corner within a section of the red, white and black colours of Germany. A nice condition K98 bayonet, manufactured by Richard Herder of Solingen. Imperial acceptance stamp to the flat back of the blade, regimental markings ‘118.R.5.K.2’.
