BRITISH WWI BRODIE HELMET.

A standard 2nd pattern Brodie helmet, the shell is in good condition and painted in an unusual green over the original sand based khaki. Losses to the paint as can be seen from our web images, whether it is a form of camouflage or single unit speciality is unknown, the colour is good complete with its leather chinstrap, its fabric liner. YUGOSLAVIAN WWI ADRIAN BATTLE DAMAGED HELMET.

A terrific time warp helmet recovered from the battlefield of the Balkans , Adrian helmet of large size with battle damage to the surface, rust only, obviously hit by the shockwave of shrapnel the helmet has split to the right hand side of the badge, the liner is missing and has laid in soft sand for many years. BRITISH WWI ROYAL NAVAL WHITE TOP VISOR CAP.

A very nice white top naval cap, all blue body with white removable top, the top is in the ribbed material. Some minor rust staining and discoloration but generally excellent. Fitted with a Chief Petty Officer red on black crown over anchor badge. Standard WWI period small chinstrap. CANADIAN ROYAL FLYING CORPS BREECHES.

An extremely rare pair of other ranks issued breeches, these are in typical Canadian coarse other ranks wool and have no reinforcing to the inner legs and would have be worn with puttees. The Canadian military provided a great deal of personnel in terms of flying and much training was undertaken in Canada. FRENCH WWI ARTILLERY MANS BREECHES.

An extremely nice set of horizon blue breeches for an artillery enlisted man. Red piped to each side of the breech. Nicely dated ‘1918’, maker marked to the cotton lining. Good nap to the cloth. French clothing invariably was nearly or totally destroyed by moth damage from the conditions they have been kept in, fortunately this has very minor moth nips around the crotch area. BRITISH WWI 2ND PATTERN BRODIE HELMET.

A very nice condition 2nd pattern Brodie combat helmet from WWI. Rough sand finish, all paint remaining. To the interior the oilskin liner excellent, stamped size ‘7’ to the internal strap. The large rectangular red ink stamping of ‘Brodie Steel Helmet, War Officer Pattern’ to the inside of the oilskin. Minor moth damage to the upper inner crown felt pad. Excellent skull with rough cast paint finish remaining. This is the 1st pattern without the rim. The interior oilskin liner complete with its large red ‘Brodie pattern War Office’ stamping. A World War I style cap In light beige colour, produced World War I and worn later with the wider World War II style chinstrap, good trench flopy style fitted with the 1929 badge of the Dominion Fusiliers, maker or retailer stamped into the cross hatched leather sweatband, ”The Muir brand”.  read more

Heavy rough sand finish with some of the roughness missing from the crown area, the remainder of the helmet complete. To the interior the oilskin liner all complete with its inner string framework.
