YUGOSLAVIAN WWI ADRIAN BATTLE DAMAGED HELMET.
A terrific time warp helmet recovered from the battlefield of the Balkans , Adrian helmet of large size with battle damage to the surface, rust only, obviously hit by the shockwave of shrapnel the helmet has split to the right hand side of the badge, the liner is missing and has laid in soft sand for many years. A very nice white top naval cap, all blue body with white removable top, the top is in the ribbed material. Some minor rust staining and discoloration but generally excellent. CANADIAN ROYAL FLYING CORPS BREECHES.
An extremely rare pair of other ranks issued breeches, these are in typical Canadian coarse other ranks wool and have no reinforcing to the inner legs and would have be worn with puttees. The Canadian military provided a great deal of personnel in terms of flying and much training was undertaken in Canada. An extremely nice set of horizon blue breeches for an artillery enlisted man. Red piped to each side of the breech. Nicely dated ‘1918’, maker marked to the cotton lining. Good nap to the cloth. A very nice condition 2nd pattern Brodie combat helmet from WWI. Rough sand finish, all paint remaining. To the interior the oilskin liner excellent, stamped size ‘7’ to the internal strap. The large rectangular red ink stamping of ‘Brodie Steel Helmet, War Officer Pattern’ to the inside of the oilskin. Minor moth damage to the upper inner crown felt pad.
