A nice condition rare tank mask issued to tank crews at the beginning of the era of tank warfare in 1917. Its leather face covering all intact and non rotted. PORTUGUESE WWI ENLISTED RANKS COMBAT HELMET.
Very little is known about the fact that Portugal had a considerable contingent on the Western Front during WWI, their base in England was in the New Forest Hampshire and there is a memorial set in the forest.
