A very fine example of the Mauser 71/84 bayonet with excellent bright blade. To one side it has a panel with the Colonial style crown and ribbon with the Imperial style eagle below. Mid war type in olive drab canvas and brown leather. Karlsruhe maker’s stamp on the top leather rear section and repeated on one shoulder strap, the opposite strap appears to be a replacement. Regimentally marked in red ‘J.R 88’ which is the 2nd Nassau Infantry Regiment No.88. Original soldier’s name ‘Deckelburg’ applied in backing on the reverse canvas. GERMAN WWI PRUSSIAN TELEGRAPHERS BELT BUCKLE.

The Prussian and Bavarian telegraphers buckles were constructed in two versions, most commonly encountered in brass but rarely encountered in stamped steel, this Prussian example with virtually all of its original field grey paint visible with its correct double pronged belt fixing system on the reverse side. Complete with its clip for the fitting of the laying reel. A rare buckle.  read more

GERMAN WWI MAUSER 98/05 SAW BACK BAYONET.

Some light pitting to very tip of blade, good clear Mauser manufacturer markings, blade could be cleaned. Rifle retaining system working correctly, undamaged grips. Flat section of blade profusely Imperial marked and dated 17. All fitted to its slightly pitted scabbard having one piece of battle damage.

A very nice convex constructed Iron Cross 1st class, retaining all original finish to the central black core. Marked 800 just above the retaining hook on the reverse side. award with its original pin hook and hinge. One slight bend at the top right-hand side of the upper arm of Maltese cross.  read more
