A rare leather pickelhaube model 1887 for an infantryman from Saxon Infantry Regiment 106. Unusually the helmet is also stamped 1885 which is two years before the official introduction of the model date. A very good example of the Hanoverian battle of Langensalza medal. Beautiful deep strike with all its original gilt. On the reverse side Langensalza 27th June 1866. The medal for the 1866 battle between Hanover and Prussia. Complete with its original yellow, red and white ribbon.  read more

GERMAN WWI HAMBURG CROSS.

The 8 pointed star shaped award known amongst collectors as the Hamburg Cross, a very attractive 8 pointed silver coloured star with white enamel, which has one crack to each horizontal arm of the central feature. The oval plaque showing a German soldier in full field combat equipment with the inscription on the reverse side ‘DEUTSCHES FELD EHRENZEICHEN’ with an address in Hamburg below.  read more

IMPERIAL GERMAN SOUVENIR BUCKLE.

A highly unusual buckle, the base buckle being an all brass French enlisted mans belt plate from the Franco/Prussian war with an Imperial German Gott Mit Uns Prussian crowned centreplate affixed to the French buckle. This is more than likely a souvenir by a German soldier of the 1870 Franco/Prussian conflict.  read more

GERMAN WWI M.17 TRENCH HELMET.

A very nice untouched ‘BF64’ stamped shell M.17 trench helmet. The exterior shell retains virtually all its original apple green finish with some rust bleed in places, which can hopefully be seen on our website images. A good clean example of the soldiers gas mask of WWI. The field grey green painted filter retaining stamped date in ink, applied designations and dates, one date of 26 March 17. Some slight rust to the upper part of the filter but the majority of the paintwork to the mask edges and the filter itself remaining.
