GERMAN PRE WWI 1847 PATTERN PRUSSIAN ENLISTED MANS BELT BUCKLE.
An extremely nice condition 1847 pattern belt buckle being the larger and squarer example than the later 1895. Nickel centre, brass base having the scroll ‘Gott Mitt Uns and unusually still with a small section of its original leather tab. The old collectors number still affixed to the rear of the buckle. These are difficult to obtain in this very good condition. read more

A rare 1847 style of buckle of a Hessian infantryman, larger than the later model, quite indistinct detail to the Hessian crown.
