A nice interesting visor cap produced in the Stalhelm light field grey colour. Two very minor moth nips to the crown, black centre band. Complete with its national and State cockades, situated between the two cockades is a small version of the M.29 eagle and swastika, To the interior the upper inner crown lining is in a raffia pattern. A lovely condition silver award of the Mothers Cross. Bright finish, undamaged enamels, retaining its blue paper envelope, titled. On the reverse side the maker’s name and address of ‘Carl Forster Und Graf Schwer.Gmund’, complete with short section of ribbon. The outside of the packet is slightly faded.  read more

GERMAN WWII KRIEGSMARINE AUXILIARY CRUISER BADGE.

Non maker marked as conforming with the Foerster & Barth design. Good example shown on page 504 of The Kriegsmarine Awards Volume 1. One-piece construction. No separate rivet holding the globe, with its needle pin, wire hook fitted to a circular plate. Faint traces of the Foerster & Barth die flaw to the bottom right hand leg of the swastika. The badge retains subdued gilt.  read more
