A strip running around the bowl in the German naval colours of WWI with the faint traces of a seaman’s name hand painted. A very nice good size all leather pickelhaube to a Bavarian Reserve Field Artillery Officer. The leather skull is absolutely excellent with just a few minor creases from heat. Magnificent gilt to the fluted plume holder, cross base and very deeply struck front plate with cut out officers crown, the plate is overlaid with a white metal reserve officers cross.
