A very nice condition French M2 gas mask tin painted in a dark shade of horizon blue with its original horizon blue cover. An unadorned stitched label at the base of the cover. Four rust stains, one on each corner of the cover at the base, with its closure flap, original button and the shoulder string, which has been slightly shortened by tying a knot in the string itself.  read more

A classic Stetson style hat worn by the U.S. Cavalry in the Spanish American War, which lasted from April to August 1898, very similar to the cap worn by the U.S.Cavalry in the Indian Wars.
