Originally issued as an apple green M35 double decal helmet, under the 1940 regulations the national tricolour decal was removed, a large amount of the early apple green finish remains with losses, which can be seen on our web site images. GERMAN WWII NSKK MARINE OFFICERS DAGGER.
The standard NSKK officers daggers are readily available on the collectors market, the small Marine units of the NSKK where the daggers were gilded is much harder to obtain. This example has a very nice blade marked ‘RZM M7/66’ dated ‘1940’, the M.7/66 is the RZM number of the Company Eickhorn. A good amount of cross grain finish remaining to the blade.
