BRITISH WWII HOME FRONT BRODIE HELMET.

Standard Brodie helmet, two indentations to the crown, painted black with the letter ‘A’ stencilled to the front. The inner liner is size stamped and dated ‘1939’. Original owner’s name hand painted in green paint to the inner shell, also some scratched initials. The shell is dated ‘1939’ with makers stamp ‘JSS’ with its elasticated chinstrap.  read more

A heavy brass plaque measuring 45 x 31cm reading ‘IN LOVING MEMORY OF MAJOR GENERAL SIR W.L.O. (OLIVER) TWISS K.C.I.E C.B., C.B.E. MC. COLONEL 9TH GURKHA RIFLES 1879 TO 1962’.
