A rare large size tunic being a 1902 pattern tunic issued to a member of the 3rd (Auckland) Regiment New Zealand Infantry. Excellent nap to the cloth overall. worn in an open collar style and the upper part of the tunic has been ironed in that fashion. ALLIED WWI ROOLD FLYING HELMET.
A good example of the Roold flying helmet worn by British, French and Belgium aviators in WWI. All cork body, canvas finish with four panels to the crown. An imitation centre band, which has some slight losses on the reverse side. Complete with its canvas brown painted ear protectors. BRITISH WWI RIMLESS BRODIE HELMET WITH COVER.
A rimless 1st pattern helmet, non magnetic, the second colour has faded incredibly, some rust to the interior dome flooding through the cover. To one side a lozenge form where a unit insignia was applied but obviously the stitching has rotted and has dropped away from the cover.
