An excellent example of an early Brodie helmet, rimless model. Much apple green paint to the interior, the exterior with apple green paint showing over the later hand painted darker brown covering. Overall good condition with much original gilt remaining to the wreath, the gilt is thin to the sail of the Viking ship and to the left hand edge of the wreath. One small stain to the left hand wingtip of the Reich eagle. Non maker marked with its small domed rivet which retains the globe to the main part of the badge with its untouched pin, hook and hinge.  read more
