This is the Croatian version of the German Knights Cross to the Iron Cross and was widely awarded to Waffen SS officers fighting against Communist Partisans in Yugoslavia. Excellent quality with gold plated edges with white enamel centre. Two items, nice condition Armed Forces soldbuch used by Gefreiter Horst Jachbczyk born May 25 in Breslau, served with a medical unit in Ajugust 1943 then joined the 10th Panzer Fusilier Regiment of Grossdeutschland August 1944. Overall good condition with much original gilt remaining to the wreath, the gilt is thin to the sail of the Viking ship and to the left hand edge of the wreath. One small stain to the left hand wingtip of the Reich eagle. Non maker marked with its small domed rivet which retains the globe to the main part of the badge with its untouched pin, hook and hinge.  read more
