A knife much seen in photographs being worn by German troops in the trenches being the deer’s foot knife. Excellent blade with unusual double headed eagle trademark, S shaped steel cross guard, original leather washer complete, in its steel military style scabbard and belt loop. Hilt retaining strap does not appear ever to have been fitted. The steel scabbard having some paint loss.
