A generally good condition large formal citation in Velum for the Knights Cross to the Iron Cross to Luftwaffe Oberfeldwebel Wilhelm Mink, dated ‘19th March 1942’ with original pen signature of Adolf Hitler. The shatterproof goggles with fixed frames are the rarest of any flying goggle of any combatant air force of WWII. These are the very first model, the tinted lenses all complete with the same shape eyepieces as the later models but the huge difference being the fixed side earpieces. A nice service worn pair of flying gauntlets having a single finger and thumb aperture. Fur lined to the inside with one glove having both of its Luftwaffe blue grey adjuster tabs the other one has one of the adjuster tabs missing.  read more

An A4 sized letter, on the headed paper of ‘Dipl.Ing.Otto Skorzeny SS Sturmbannfuhrer D.Res.’ dated ‘2nd October 1943’, it is addressed to the head of the SD ‘Obergruppenfuhrer Ernst Kaltenbrunner’, thanking him for his assistance in the Skorzeny rescue of Beneto Mussolini in 1943. JAPANESE WWII NAVAL OFFICERS CAP.

At the end of WWII the Japanese armed forces were allowed to continue wearing their uniforms but with all insignia removed, this is an example of an end of war cap. The naval insignia has been removed, also one of the two black rank braids around the base of the cap have been removed indicating he may have been demoted. Faded label to the interior.  read more
