GERMAN WWII EAGLE ORDER 1937 TO 39 2ND CLASS AWARD, CASED.

A very fine condition Eagle Order 2nd class with swords. Totally undamaged enamels, gilt to all four eagles and the crossed swords are perfect with the enamel within the arms of the swastika also being good, on the reverse side the gilt is magnificent with its central gilded rivet. The Fortress of Lorient had its unofficial shield produced in many variations, this is a high quality example, flat back, stamped on a zinc-like material with six pre drilled sewing holes for a uniform attachment.
