An aluminium food ladle stamped ‘SS Unterfuhrerschule Radolfzell’. Good condition. This training school was formed into a battle group in November 1944 and was engaged in heavy fighting around the Colmar bridgehead at that time.  read more

GERMAN WWII GAS CAPE BAG.

Green gas cape bag marked ‘PWB’ with number ‘3’ then the word ‘RATE’ all stamped inside the closing cover. The male/female closure studs have both rusted with one of the female sections of the lid missing, the male section is just about holding on to the main body. Loops on the reverse side for fitting to the gas mask strapping.  read more

GERMAN CROAT WWII CROATIAN KNIGHTS CROSS WITH SWORDS OF THE ORDER OF KING ZVONIMIR 1ST CLASS.

This is the Croatian version of the German Knights Cross to the Iron Cross and was widely awarded to Waffen SS officers fighting against Communist Partisans in Yugoslavia. Excellent quality with gold plated edges with white enamel centre. Long length of original neck ribbon, the mount for the ribbon is a period replacement, fitted to facilitate its wear around the neck, slight wear to ribbon.  read more

The standard A5 size award document for the Wound Badge in silver, folded twice, punch holed for filing. Awarded to Unteroffizier Helmut Zedernhofer, who was a member of 1./FS CH.PZ.-ART.RGT.Hermann Goering. Two award dates 30.5. to the 5.6.42, also 14.7.43, obviously he was wounded twice in this period and his award of the Wound Badge in black was combined into one award.
