Attached to its woollen band is the very nice multi constructed in bullion wire velvet and metal the Royal Naval officers cap badge. BRITISH WWII HOME FRONT HELMET. MOTOR TRANSPORT SERVICE.

A standard Brodie pattern helmet with the three drilled holes and either side of the skirt indicating a non combat service with the faint stencilling of the letters ‘MTS’ to the face side. Some rust bleed coming through the paint finish, with its original liner, marked size ‘7 ¼ dated 1941 with its rather frayed webbing and elasticated chinstrap.  read more
