GERMAN WWII ARMY VETERINANY PIPED SERVICE TUNIC AND BREECHES.

The field grey piped field service tunic is a much-desired tunic amongst the range of uniforms worn by German Army officers. Standard field grey green cloth, fitted with the insignia of a Major in the Veterinary Reserve of the Army. Grey underlay topped with wine red, then the Major’s shoulder board with the veterinary motif. Matching piping to the dark green collar and the heavy bullion collar patches. A beautiful quality officers breast eagle. Standard four pocket configuration. Piped cuffs, piped front skirt, four loops for a short medal ribbon bar to the upper right breast as the tunic is viewed. No moth damage anywhere to the tunic. A tailor’s label to the inside pocket giving the faint name of the officer and the date, which is then applied with indelible pen and dampness as obscured virtually all the detail. Accompanied by a set of heavily corded breeches with wine red piping to the outer seam of both legs, again no moth damage, good clean large size breeches matching the tunic in size. Some slight different features than German construction indicating they maybe under occupation made in Holland.
