GERMAN WWII TROPICAL M.40 LUFTWAFFE SINGLE DECAL COMBAT HELMET.

A nice camouflage finish on an Q66 marked shell, batch number 23289. The exterior shell has at least 80% of its original tropical painted finish remaining with losses, as can be seen on our website images. Traces of the original camouflage paint still remaining to two of the three liner retaining rivet heads. The Luftwaffe decal can clearly bee seen through the lightly applied camouflage finish. Fitted with its correct M.40 liner, which has good colour, wear use conversant with the remainder of the helmet. Original drawstring and its original brown leather chinstrap, which is maker marked, undented. At the rear of the helmet there is evidence that this was originally covered in wire, the pattern still remains to the camouflage finish.
