Non size stamped but on test between 58 and 60. The upper body is constructed in the ribbed canvas-like material, some age foxing to the crown area. Two very minor moth nips on the right hand overhang of the cap. Light blue piping to the crown and the upper and lower sections of the brown velvet centre band. The gilding to the national eagle and the cockade is superb with undamaged enamels to the NSDAP central button. Standard gold cords with political lightly pebbled gold side buttons. Good high saddle shape. To the interior the political brown brushed cotton lining, undamaged centre celluloid lozenge with the faint remains of a cap maker attached to the centre of the lozenge, which unfortunately has been scratched, the name is not complete. The sweatband is of the ersatz variety, which is all complete, it has some cracks and creases and on lifting back the sweatband the original RZM political label can be seen at the rear section of the cap.
