FRENCH FOREIGN LEGION KEPI WITH BLUE AND WHITE COVERS.
An exceedingly rare item of Foreign Legion headdress being the model 1884 soldiers kepi in red, soft leather peak, standard leather strap with the red cut out flaming grenade on blue attached to the lower part of the front of the kepi, which is the insignia of the Foreign Legion. The kepi comes with two sets of covers, its horizon blue cover, which is worn and stained and has two cut apertures to allow the air vents to breath, Foreign Legion side buttons. The separate white cover, which is in unused condition is stamped ‘1st R-ETR’ with size ‘3’, accompanied by its white neck covering , which is just stamped size ‘2’.
