GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE TWO-PIECE SUMMER SUIT.

The two-piece summer suit for the Luftwaffe is constructed in the identical material as the very commonly encountered one-piece overall suit, in our opinion the two-piece summer suit is the hardest of all the Luftwaffe flying suits, whether they be one-piece or two-piece, to obtain. We have been handling Luftwaffe flight equipment and uniforms for many years and as far as we can remember this is the only complete suit we have ever managed to obtain, we have had individual jackets and do have another set of the trousers on our web site at the moment. This appears to be a suit worn together by the same aviator. The colour and the wear on both portions are identical. The jacket is in the small size, it has its original zip, which functions correctly, the zip marked ‘Rapid’ with its grey leather puller. The two cuff buttons are complete as are the inner windproof cuffs. The two closure studs at the base on the waist, the female portions are present with slight rust, the male portions are also both present but with more rust, the lower male portion is slightly loose from the main body of the garment. There are minor small tears to the jacket mainly up by the right hand shoulder and other minor rust staining. The oxygen tube clip is all present as are all the other accessories on the jacket. One small, what appears to be a cigarette type burn hole on the back panel. The internal white linen waist belt is complete, there is rust on the closure buckles for the waist belt. The sleeves are lined in Luftwaffe blue grey satin. Luftwaffe grey on blue eagle is fitted to the breast. The trousers have all of their zips complete with their leather pullers, also marked ‘Rapid’. The brace attachments in white linen are all complete, as is the adjustable waist belt. The male/female pop studs on the two front pockets are all complete and working, as is the press studs on the flare pistol holster. One patch to the right hand knee as the trousers are viewed. One lower right hand leg zip appears to be a replacement. Various minor dark stains and one rust stain on a pocket. An extremely rare Luftwaffe flying suit.
