BRITISH WWI SOLDIERS GAS MASK.

Excellent condition outer bag, broad arrow marked, stamped ‘Waring & Gillows 1918’. To the inner mask the canvas has solidified, all the head strapping present. The tube is good apart from one hole at the join to the filter. The rubber breather system has solidified and broken away from the face of the mask. The bag is complete with its strap and is still good for display on a WWI mannequin. Attached to the long strap is the original card envelope with the instructions for the use and maintenance of the gas mask indicating that this a stored mask and has never been issued.
