BRITISH WWII SLEEVELESS LEATHER JERKIN.

A very nice example of the utility garment known as the leather jerkin. These were used in all arms of the British Army. The label reads ‘JERKINS LEATHER NUMBER 2 CAMOUFLAGED’ followed by the sizes and the date of ‘1944’ but strangely the jerkin is not camouflaged, we have had the camouflaged versions before and they are quite distinctive, how this has received a camouflage label is obviously unknown to us. Nevertheless a very nice condition leather jerkin with all of its original buttons, no rot to the leather or any of the stitching.
