GERMAN WWII EARLY POLITICAL LEADERS VISOR CAP.

A mint unissued condition Political Leaders visor cap, still having its original paper padding placed inside the inner crown of the cap. The cap is a very early saddle shape constructed in the political brown ribbed material. Blue piping for Ortsgruppe having a white metal political eagle looking to the right. The national cockade normally found in gold, in this example was originally silver to match the eagle but most of the silvering has disappeared with age. Complete with its enamelled central button. The cap cords are in silver as are the pebbled white side buttons. We believe this configuration of white metal insignia to be within the NSDAP Party Courts. The cap is free of any moth holes, there is one slight nip to the blue Ortsgruppe piping just above the eagle’s left hand wing. The cap does not have an RZM ticket and one has never been fitted. The interior light tan sweatband, as one can image, in mint unissued condition, no markings of any head sweat. The interior satin lining mint with its undamaged and unmarked centre celluloid lozenge with a size tag of ‘58’ laid within the aperture for the name label. The inner sweatband is not torn at all, it is pretty solid, it is very firm and care should be taken not to pull the interior sweatband down in case of tearing to the leather.
