GERMAN WWII GEHEINE STAATSPOLIZEI (GESTAPO) WARRANT DISC.

We first saw this disc over 40 years ago in an apartment in London, an older collector owned it and we tried to buy it at that time and at subsequent many meetings in between and at last it is in our possession. A well used example of the Gestapo warrant disc being in nickel silver, non magnetic. This operative must have been very busy, the amount of wear that the disc has received is quite incredible compared to other examples in collections and what we have had ourselves in the past. The detail of the wreath surrounding the swastika is thin, also the breast of the eagle, some of the lettering is thin. The warrant disc is with an original chain and the issue number is ‘6483’. These warrant discs, both Gestapo and criminal police have been hugely faked since the beginning of interest in the Third Reich memorabilia, this we can guarantee is a totally original example. The last example we sold was number 875 in virtually unused condition priced at £5,750, this example priced according to the wear.
