GERMAN WWI M.18 CUT OUT HELMET WITH REMAINS OF FLOCK FINISH.

A very small percentage of the M.18 helmets that were produced had the flock finish, this has the remains of that finish in areas of the skull, other areas showing the original apple green that was under the flock finish. Slight corrosion to the interior of the shell making it difficult to see the ET64 size stamping. Faint traces of a pencilled name to the inner rear skirt. Complete with its white leather interior three pad liner system, one tongue is broken but with its original drawstring. The carbine clip chinstrap is all complete, it is very nicely stamped on the reverse side with the makers mark and ‘1918’. One of the interior pads to the leather pads is missing, the other two are complete.
