A good upper size all leather picklehaube, for a member of Mecklenburg Schwerin Regiment 90, the skull generally good with some slight creases, the front and back peaks minor congealing, securely attached to the main body, the stitching has not rotted, all of the fittings in subdued brass, minor indentation to the backstrap, complete with its correct national and Mecklenburg field cockades, original leather strap with matching buckles, to the interior the nine tongued leather liner all complete and supple, to the interior with the original owners name of Nagel and the designation of regiment 90, very faintly ink stamped to both halves of the rear peak which are very difficult to pick up on images is the regimental number 90 plus other difficult to read identifying numbers with a clear date of 1900 to the opposite side of the peak, one of the most difficult Duchys to obtain any items from being the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg.
