GERMAN WWII CAMOUFLAGE PARATROOPER HELMET.

Shell stamped E.T. 68, batch number 2255, the outer shell having a 3 tone camouflage of brown, green and tan, with the Luftwaffe eagle just visible below the paint, standard early three hole spanner bolts, the inner liner has some distress with partial leather missing, but good clear head and shell size, with faint traces of Karl Heisler Berlin maker mark, only one complete half strapping harness is complete, the other half has been cut, this was a normal procedure when removing a helmet from a dead German paratrooper, the condition of the inner liner has deteriorated far more than the condition of the outer shell and we feel that these two items may have been married together at some time since World War II, however both parts are totally original to the period.
