GERMAN WWII BATTLE DAMAGED M35 DOUBLE DECAL COMBAT HELMET.

The maker markings are obscured however the sized of the shell shows 68, issued as a apple green double decal combat helmet, approximately 50% of the original apple green remains, both decals faint, the rear of the helmet has taken a heavy shrapnel blow which has pierced the outer shell and the inner liner, the helmet retains with its complete leather liner with piercing to the leather where the shrapnel has come through the shell, the square edged strap posts are missing and appear to have been removed prior to the damage, the strap is wrapped around the inner aluminium liner band, the original maker’s name and partial date can be seen on the very tip of the leather strap as it passes through its aluminium buckle, the name of A.Schreiber, is hand applied in white paint to the inner rear skirt, the batch number 0001 is visible.
