GERMAN WWII NSKK MARINE WHITE TOP VISOR CAP.

A very nice and highly unusual NSKK Marine officials cap. Non size stamped but on test approximately 56 or 57. The white top generally good, some slight discolouring around the forward upper edges, the white top is a fixed top, constructed in standard ribbed white top cap material. Mohair centre band, fitted with the NSKK metal eagle with the very rare and beautifully constructed NSKK Marine central cockade, which features a central cockade with a swastika, surrounding wreath and crossed anchors. Standard front strap with two gilded anchor side buttons. To the interior the brown leather sweatband is in place with evidence of wear use. The centre celluloid lozenge to the satin white interior is all complete and undamaged. There has been some discoloration and staining to the interior, probably through the cap getting wet. The cap has its original political RZM label attached to the inner band of the cap. One tear to the sweatband, minor distortion to areas of the centre band, but generally a good nice saddle shape. No moth damage anywhere to the cap. The identical cap is shown on page 415 of Headgear of Hitler’s Germany Volume 4.
