BRITISH WWI ROYAL FLYING CORPS SERGEANT OBSERVERS PLASTRON FRONTED TUNIC.

A very fine example of a large size enlisted mans issue RFC tunic that has been service worn and modified to the interior for flying duties. Standard khaki cloth, no moth damage anywhere on the tunic, except some moth to the blanket lining. Standard configuration of epaulettes, two lower pockets with flaps. The tunic is fitted with a very nice matching set of Royal Flying Corps shoulder titles, observer wings and sergeant stripes. This is a tunic that was modified for actual flying use by having a chequered blanket lining inserted to the interior over the issue lining, which is of a thin construction material. The tunic is fitted with all its original buttons, all correct hooks in place to finally close the plastron front, and has windproof cuffs fitted, a further evidence of this being an actual flyers tunic.
