JAPANESE WWI CHERRY BLOSSOM HELMET.
One of the most difficult combat helmets to obtain of WWI is the Japanese Cherry Blossom. Many photographs exist of these helmets being worn mainly in the early days of the Japanese Chinese war in 1938. This example is an army issue with the star front, the unique air vent to the crown. Three rivets for holding the inner liner in, plus two lower rivets below. The helmet retains virtually all of its original Japanese paint finish, complete with its interior leather liner band, three pad liner, the interior cushions have their padding.
