GERMAN WWII ARMY ETCHED BLADED PARADE BAYONET.

A superb quality blade, non maker marked, simply stamped ‘Solingen’. The etching on both sides of the blade are good deep and clear, one side having the motto ‘IN MEMORY OF MY SERVICE TIME ‘ in German, with both out swept winged eagle and swastika on one side and a down swept winged eagle and swastika to the left hand side. On the reverse side the same configuration of eagles with the central logo showing a 8 Ton tracked prime mover pulling a large artillery piece. Original leather washer complete, all plating to the upper pommel, which is sprung loaded for bayonet fixing present. The paint finish to the scabbard again perfect with an original, what appears to be, K98 frog, which is maker marked on the reverse side.
