A very clean example of this pattern of dagger, excellent blade with original cross grain finish remaining with evidence of minor staining. Good deep and clean ‘Gebruder Heller, Marenthal’ trademark to the blade, with its original matching blue leather washer. Grip leather excellent with minor scuffs, good clean matching finish to all of the four fittings, which include the cross guard with its integral enamel swastikas, both of which are good and clear. The upper pommel, the upper and lower scabbard mounts with a dent to the ball at the lower scabbard mount and a small abrasions on the rear left hand side of the same mount. The leather to the scabbard with minor abrasions. Original brown leather hanging strap. The sprung loaded belt clip system working perfect. To the upper throat of the upper scabbard mount the DLV insignia is stamped, also the letter ‘K’ is stamped to the very tip of the cross guard with the letter ‘H’ and numbers ‘58’ stamped into the side of the small square section at the centre of the cross guard.
