A stunning 1st pattern cap, bleached to near white. all original early bevo insignia, all period applied. The black soutache has been removed as per the 1942 regulations, threads of black cloth still remaining and dark shadow visible on cloth where soutache has been removed. Signs of wear and use overall, with lining exposed on the front and rear apex. The rim of the peak brim also has heavy wear. The interior red lining is somewhat faded. The red cloth has many tears ands rips and there is no sign of makers mark, being completely washed out. An iconic cap with all the features collectors desire.
