GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE MEDICAL SECTION NCO OR MAN’S VISOR CAP.
Any of the Luftwaffe services other than the normal flight, flak, signals sections caps are considered rare, this is very fine example of a Luftwaffe medical section enlisted ranks or NCOs visor cap, non-size stamped but estimated at 55, very fine Luftwaffe blue grey enlisted issue quality cloth with one minor moth nip to the crown and one further nip to the lower edge of the cap, blue piping to the crown and the upper and lower sections of the mohair centre band, a matched set of the early droop tailed eagle and standard cockade, double buckle chinstrap, the front visor having the double edged variety very commonly found amongst Luftwaffe caps both officers and man’s. To the interior the light tan coloured sweatband is of the ersatz variety, the inner crown and sidelining in green satin, the full celluloid centre lozenge unbroken complete, with the maker’s logo of Pekuro.
