GERMAN WWII ARMY GENERAL'S BERGMUTZE.

A very high quality, melton cloth Army General's Bergmutze in superb but very slight used condition.
Size 58 with silk lining, no maker mark, as expected with privately made General's headdress, it is ink stamped size 58. To the brow is a small section of light brown leather. As mention, the exterior cloth is very high quality, all air vents retain their original paint, the gold piping to the crown is not oxidised at all, Both gold front buttons have a nice level of finish remaining, in keeping with the overall condition. The one piece triangular bevo insignia is of course, in officers silver wire as expected for any early war General's headdress, late war example carried the gold coloured eagle. Very slight wear to the front crown apex of the cap and also upon the eagle head of the cap insignia. A beautiful example of high ranking Third Reich headdress.
