GERMAN WWII SA DAGGER.

A highly unusual SA mans dagger, probably one of the last production examples. Standard Ulles Fur Deutschland etching to the face side of the blade with some traces of original cross grain finish. Towards the point there are black corrosion spots, on the reverse plain side more corrosion spots but good sharpness to the central ridge and to the edges of the blade with its upper and lower grip mounts being in the zinc construction, plated, good plating remaining but some slight lifting in the area butting to the wood grip. The wood grip itself is totally undamaged. The SA enamel inset is good. The national eagle appears to have taken a slight knock to the left hand wing and impressed the wing itself more into the wooden grip. The scabbard, which retains much of its original paint, again having plated mounts but the unusual part of the scabbard is that a mounts are just a tight push fit to the scabbard and have no mounting screws at all, therefore we have a blade, no maker and push fit scabbard fittings. Light indentation to the ball of the lower scabbard mount. Some age lines showing through the paint from the base of the scabbard. For the collector of SA daggers this has to be a highly unusual example.
