GERMAN WWII SA KEPI.

A well worn and stored SA kepi having a brown upper side indicating Gruppe Mittelrhein or Niedersachen. Some light moth around the upper edges of the brown sides. The steel band that holds the kepi in form around the crown has rusted and flooded through the material in that full circumference. This example has the M.29 eagle, plain gold button, standard brown SA chinstrap, ersatz type sweatband with the remains of a gilt maker’s mark stamped into the upper inner crown. Approximately size 57 or 58. Some cracks to the ersatz sweatband but a good form to the kepi itself.
